Richmond Code Camp

Just got back from the Richmond Code Camp.1 I had forgotten what true southern hospitality is like. The people at the Code camp were truly friendly, It was great to meet up with friends again; I got to meet the one and only Alan Stevens and listen to him sing and play guitar What a trip! Lots of new speakers and friends. Hope they make it his way.

Philly Code Camp

Attended the philly Code camp this past weekend.  What a phenomenal event.  Over 600 attendees and 60+ great presentations.  If you weren't there, you missed out.  Watch for the next one in October.

Pittsburgh Code Camp

Another great effort by David Hoerster and Eric Kepes.  Lots of presentations on cloud computing, silverlight and wpf and Rest.  Attendance was about 100 and the sessions were well received.  Looking forward to the fall and another trip.

The only downside was that I80 was shut down completely at Exit 86.  There was no warning and no advanced indications of the closure.  We didn't know about it till we hit the parking lot at mile-marker 90.  I backtracked and came back to Exit 86 via another route and ended up sitting for 3.5 hours to travel 3 miles.  Once we were abled to get back on I80, the trip was eneventful from that point on.

Boston Code Camp

John was in Boston for the Spring Code camp.  It was well attended and it was nice to renew freiendships again.  There were some really great presentations, one of which, involved soldering irons and hacking a wii remote.

I presented my session of Mobile Development and a new session on switching from WinForms to Silverlight/WPF.  It was well received.
