Microsoft BizSpark Program

Microsoft has just announced the new Bizspark program designed to target startups and provide them with all of Microsoft's development tools to develop a "Software as a Service" product.  Registration is Free, but you must have the support of BizSpark Champion (usually your local DE).  Check it out here:

Fairfield/Westchester Code Camp

John and crew will be in Connecticut this weekend for the Fairfield/Westchester Code camp.  We attended last year and had a great time and met some awesome people.

John will be talking about mobile development and SQLce.

If you're in the area, stop by a say hello. 

Well the code camp was a success.  about 150+ attendees and a great group of people.  Got a chance to renew friendships with some speakers and had a great time.  dinner afterwards was a little over the top, but MS's crew handled it with great aplomb!

Atlanta and Agile

I was invited to an RDA conference on Automated Lifecycle Management in Atlanta to deliver a session on "Adopting Agile Methodologies in the Enterprise".  The entire conference was focused on decision makers and about 15 showed up.

My session went well and there was plenty of interest and a number of questions concerning how to do it.  Since we have recently gone through the same process, I was able to offer advice based on our experience.

I was able to meet a few folks from the Atlanta Alt.net community.  Chris Rauber, 2 guys from GunBrokers.com and John (Last name escapes me ... sorry).  I was hoping to get to see David Laribee or Shawn Wildermuth, but they were'nt available to attend.

I got to meet David Scruggs (Technical Evangelist) and Glen Gordon (DE).  Looking forward to a return to Atlanta.
